I was at the Podbukovc homestead for three days with my daughter and boyfriend. We all felt right at home. We took some time in the evenings and mornings and chatted with our hosts. They helped us organize our stay in Slovenia and sightseeing trips. Stara Oselica is truly a happy place (even if it’s a little hard to find at first 😉 ). From there we explored different parts of Slovenia. We will definitely stop and say hello the next time we are in the area.

Family farm for over 200 years

Our ancestors were homesteading at Podbukovc at least since the mid-18th century. As you can see in our family tree, Martin Jezeršek (1769-1844) and his wife Jera (née Krmelj, 1772-1854) lived and died on the farm. This is the earliest record of the Podbukovc farm we have.

We want to make sure that the next generations inherit the land that is even healthier, more stable, and more productive than we received from our ancestors.
